Plan to travel by air? What you can expect to see at airports

Many shops, restaurants still closed at airports throughout U.S.

At the Sunport, there is definitely more traffic as more people take to the skies. At many of your favorite restaurants and shops though, the lights are still off and the doors are closed. “It’s sad. It’s sad to see that because sometimes you’ll expect to go in and have a meal and the restaurants will be closed, not to mention people are out of a job,” said Albuquerque resident, Kim. She and her husband Bill like to travel and say they are seeing airports throughout the country, including the Sunport, with lots of restaurants and shops still not open. Bill said if you’re looking for souvenirs or keepsakes from different states, those can be hard to come by at airports right now. A Sunport spokeswoman said as more and more people take to the skies, it’s likely you’ll see more businesses opening here and at other airports as well.
