TAMPA, FL — Just four months after making its Tampa debut, Hotel Haya at 1412 E. 7th Ave. in Ybor City has been named one of the top 10 Best New Hotels 2020 by USA Today.

USA Today made the announcement Monday. A panel of experts partnered with USA Today’s 10Best editors to pick the initial nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.

Hotel Haya came in No. 2 on the list behind Grand Hyatt Nashville in Tennessee.

California’s Disneyland Resort has now opened as a ‘super’ Covid-19 vaccination site

(CNN) — A “super” Covid-19 vaccination site at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened Wednesday, CNN affiliate KCAL/KCBS reported.

Orange County officials said earlier this week the resort will be one of several “super POD” — Point-of-Dispensing — sites where thousands of residents daily will be able to get vaccinated.

The site will soon be able to vaccinate more than 7,000 people daily, Andrew Do, acting chairman of the county’s board of supervisors, said during a news conference Wednesday.

On Monday, more than 10,000 people signed up to get vaccinated at the site, Do said.

COVID-19: Dozens of patients in London to transfer from hospital to converted four-star hotel | UK News


Dozens of coronavirus patients in London are set to be transferred from their hospital beds to a hotel to free up space for critical cases.

The London Hotel Group has converted 107 rooms at its four-star Best Western Plus in Croydon, south London, to act as a quarantine facility for recovering patients at King’s College Hospital.

Sky News understands at least one person has already arrived and is in isolation, although it is not yet clear how many more will join.

The group says it is also in talks with 20 other NHS Trusts to continue expanding capacity.
